In civil lawsuits, the plaintiff and the defendant disclose evidence before commencement of the trial. As per Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP)) in the United States, disclosure of electronic evidence in electronic format through "eDiscovery" has been mandated, in the background that currently, more than 90% of enterprise information is stored in electronic format. Special care is taken to avoid loss of evidence information loss. Once available in digital formats, the techniques followed for analysis of these documents follows identical methods employed for digital documents.
